HAMANN Ferrari F430 “Black Miracle”

 HAMANN Ferrari F430 Black Miracle

The Ferrari F430 already is a brilliant, eye-catching vehicle. The “look” as well as engineering technology presents many similarities to motor sports racing. In the latter instance, most vehicles here feature a catchy paint finish in “warrior look”. HAMANN MOTORSPORT now offers the mid-engine Ferrari a special outstanding design that equally provides a racing car look standing out from the crowd. It’s called “Black Miracle” and will be responsible for great deal of turned heads.

HAMANN Ferrari F430 Black Miracle

outstanding “Black Miracle” look in black matt with coloured finishes for aerodynamic parts
improved performance from 50 HP
competently integrated wing doors
light weight wheels “Edition Race” in 20-inch
An individual entrance thanks to Black Miracle design

HAMANN Ferrari F430 Black Miracle

HAMANN’s “Black Miracle” designed black car body via a foil suggests the appearance of a primary base coat versus a ready-finished lacquered vehicle. It leaves an impression as if the entire car body is covered in velvet. Here as well, comes an idea directly from motor sports racing scene where motor covers are often finished in black matt to aide drivers with glare reduction. The “Black Miracle” design by HAMANN acts similar to a black hole absorbing all light. For the “light at the end of the tunnel” HAMANN provides additional parts following customer preferences in brilliant red, orange or yellow finish. The contrast between black matt and each “luminizing” addition is unquestionably mesmerizing especially for countless admirers at Ferrari meetings. Such an individualized F430 entrance has never been seen before! The highlight of the “Black Miracle” designs: when the black matt colour doesn’t seem pleasing anymore, the foil can be easily removed.

The noted HAMANN aerodynamic kit for the Ferrari F430 in dazzling colours grasps many elements directly out of motor sports. Front impressions of the F430 “Black Miracle” through HAMANN’s front spoiler provide a distinct racing sports face and minimize front axle buoyancy. The wide rocker panel wings give a lowering impression. Further reminiscence of sports racing awakens at the rear end through the HAMANN diffuser and a powerful rear wing which provides more downthrust on the rear axle. HAMANN air dams for the downforce generating Venturi Tunnel boosts the effect.

Additionally included in the “Black Miracle” design are finished aerodynamic parts in red, orange or yellow as well as coloured side mirrors and brake callipers, tinted rear lights, a coloured engine cover framing, dark tinted windows (including front window), bi-coloured leather furnishings (any choice of colour combinations), HAMANN logos within the head rests as well as the wheels finished in the colour of the aerodynamic components and with completely covered black matt rim flange.

The finest detail through wing doors

The absolute show stopper effect with the eye-catching “Black Miracle” colour in combination to the car body is achieved with the addition of HAMANN constructed wing doors. This process is completed without compromise as HAMANN offers a completely full car body integration through guaranteed technology minus that look of actually being built-in. In other words, this vehicle looks as if it just rolled directly off the assembly line.

Performance jump

Through new motronic programming including a new rear silencer plus a sporty high-performance header and sport steel catalyst, the F430 in HAMANN “Black Miracle” style has a performance increase of 36kW /50 HP which is naturally a plus for vehicle performance.

Even more driving pleasure is promised with a specially designed set of suspension springs. Through the HAMANN springs, not only does the F430 lurk lower to the ground, it also moves noticeably with more agility.

The F430 “Black Miracle” comes equipped from HAMANN with a 3-pieced, forged light weight wheel “Edition Race” in 20-inch. Available for the front axle in size 8,5 x 20 (tires 235/30-20) and for the rear axle in size 12,75 x 20 (tires 325/25-20).

One example of the ultra lightweight wheels with dimensions of 12,75 x 20 have an astounding weight of only 15,45 kg! As previously indicated, within the “Black Miracle” package HAMANN finishes a wheel spider in the colour of the aerodynamic components and rim flange matching to the car body in black matt.

BMW X5 E70

 BMW X5 E70

One of the most successful cars of its class is the BMW X5. BMW only recently introduced its latest successor and HAMANN has already put together a complete program for the new X5.

BMW X5 E70

• Aerodynamic parts for sportier debut
• Increase in performance for 3.0si, 3.0d and 4.8i
• Agile road handling through sport springs
• four wheel designs available in three sizes

Hardly any area has been left untouched. Whether it’s suspension, wheels, performance, interior or aerodynamics, the Laupheim German specialists provide clear individualisation launching far above the norm.

New aerodynamic components are mandatory hence HAMANN begins with a new front spoiler that lends the SAV X5 a significant powerful feature. It?s mounted on the series-produced front apron. In back HAMANN added a rear apron seizing the design of the front spoiler to match. This component is also affixed to the series-produced parts. A further sporty accent shines through with the HAMANN roof spoiler, providing a stabilizing effect.

With such a large vehicle, every miniscule of power counts. For this reason, HAMANN reprogrammed the series-produced Motronic. The X5 3.0si received subsequently a power boost to about 14 PS/10kW and 25 Nm more torque. The X5 3.0d (with it?s basic 235 PS/173 kW) is raised by the tuners to 265 PS/ 195 kW and 600 Nm and 8-cylinder model 4.8i jumps by 18 PS/ 13 kW for more power and torque increase as well.

Not an easy choice!

Pondering over wheel choices will require the majority of customers? time. Here are four designs of choice including PG3, Anniversary I and II as well as Edition Race.

The noble tuners from Laupheim present a multi-pieced wheel PG3 available in silver finish with high-polished flange. It?s characterized through the sporty five-spoke design.

The one-pieced wheel Anniversary I portrays a light footing with its? multi-spoke design. HAMANN supplies these in silver finish with INOX stainless steel lip flange. The multi-pieced light alloy wheel Anniversary II exhibits a multi-spoke design as well projecting a feeling of pure motor sports. The silver rims with high-polished flange reflects both nobility and luxury simultaneously.

The appearance of the three-piece, ultra light forged wheels Edition Race in crossing spoke design and black wheel spider is identified through its? nine main spokes double-attached, branching and continually double-crossing towards the outside rim. Its? stirring design becomes particularly noticeable through Titan studs. The high-polished flange is icing on the cake to complete this luxurious look.

PG3 and Anniversary I are available through HAMANN for the X5 in 20 and 22-inch, Anniversary II in 22-inch and the wheel Edition Race comes in an impressive 23-inch.

Naturally HAMANN offers the wheels in form of complete wheel sets.

Typical wheel / tire combinations:
Edition Race : FA/RA 10,5 Jx23 315/25R23 102Y XL
PG3: FA /RA 10,5 J x 22 295/30 ZR 22
PG3: FA/RA 9,5 J x 20 295/40 ZR 20
Anniversary II: FA/RA 10,5 J x 22 295/30 ZR 22
Anniversary I: FA/RA 10,5 J x 22 295/30 ZR 22
Anniversary I: FA/RA 10,5 J x 20 295/40 ZR 20
Anniversary I: FA/RA 10,5 J x 20 FA 275/40 ZR20 / RA 315/35 ZR 20

By using a set of progressive suspension springs, HAMANN reduces the center of gravity for the X5 . For those vehicles that have level regulation, it is lowered to about 40 mm in front, and for vehicles without level regulation or air suspension to about 40 mm in front and about 30 mm in back. Through this, the X5 receives a bit of agility back which, in contrast to its? predecessor model, had suffered somewhat due to its bigger size.

Interior modifications per request

Large vehicles such as the BMW X5 are tailor-made for travel. Due to this, HAMANN also modified the interior. Travellers should have the drive be as comfortable as possible and additionally should provide a feast for the eyes. HAMANNs? accessories such as an exclusive foot mat flooring in black, a foot pedal of aluminium or even an aluminium foot rest enhance the cockpit of the X5. Naturally HAMANN also modifies each BMW X5 for personalized customer requests. For example, extravagant leather decor is available in a variety of colours or an elaborate multimedia alterations including DVD, TV and Play station.

Report card

Overall: ***
Performance: Good New 2.4-liter engine provides more power and longer wheelbase and wider track create better handling.
Exterior: Good The xB wears its softer edges and bigger size well.
Interior: Good Very nontraditional. Increased space makes it more comfortable but over use of plastic feels low grade.
Safety: Excellent Standard side curtain airbags for front and rear passengers, antilock brakes and electronic stability control.
Pros: A well-priced multipurpose vehicle.
Cons: New xB loses some of its funk factor.

The xB is one of the few vehicles you can say has nicely matured and still insult someone who drives one. So Scion owners, please don’t take this the wrong way, but the new xB shows signs of growing up.

It’s bigger in nearly every dimension compared to the first-generation xB, which created a buzz when it arrived in America from Japan three years ago with a body that seemed carved by a meat cleaver and a too-cool-for-school attitude.

The new xB, rolling into Scion dealerships now, has refined its look with softer edges that make it look like a glamour shot of its former self. The flat-side panels and bay windows have been replaced with more bulging fenders and smaller windows.

This is still not an average-looking vehicle, just a more sophisticated one, especially with its smoother ride, crisper handling, more comfortable interior and an upgraded engine.

At Scion headquarters in Torrance, Calif., executives of Toyota Motor Corp.’s youth oriented brand tout the xB as ugly and brash, as if it were the anti-hero in the prosaic world of sedans, vans and pickups. They may be overstating their case. But this second-generation model looks more mainstream than cult classic — and could wind up hauling just as many AARP members to early bird specials as its predecessor carried college students to underground German techno parties.

Whether delivering the hip or those with hip replacements, the xB offers passengers lots more when it comes to size. The xB’s new platform adds four inches to the wheelbase, 12 inches to its overall length, 2.8 inches to its width and 3.5 inches to its rear track.

The longer wheelbase smooths out the ride, the wider track enhances handling and stretching its overall length adds lots of interior space.

The passenger volume is up more than 10 percent — to 100.8 cubic feet — and there’s a larger rear storage area. Basically, the xB’s shape has gone from toaster to a toaster oven.

Inside, the xB is comfortable and different — maintaining some of the funkiness that could dissuade more conventional consumers, which should be reassuring to many current Scion drivers.

On the instrument panel, for example, the speedometer and three other gauges are mounted in the center of the dash, replacing the cheaper-looking single gauge in the first-generation xB. That’s a big improvement, even though the dash still features large open spaces of plastic and the plastic silver trim feels a bit cheap.

The digital speed readout is another twist that seems at home on this vehicle. Additionally, the gear shifter seems to float out from the bottom of the dash, giving the xB a different feel than other vehicles. It’s an interesting presentation

Like all Scions, the xB comes with an assortment of amenities, including electric windows and locks and a six speaker stereo system that can connect to an iPod or other music player. The new xB adds a few more standard features, such as self-locking doors, a cruise information display that gives the driver the outside temperature, current miles per gallon, average speed and a host of other bits of driving information.

From there, Scion encourages buyers to customize the vehicle any way they want, adding everything from 19-inch tires to a supercharger. Scion executives promise at least 40 accessories for the new xB, and additional after-sale items will, no doubt, become available quickly. The xB comes in only one trim level, but it can be upgraded a la carte to the owner’s content, limited only by the buyer’s budget.
